Business Developer/Bid Coordinator 

Currently seeking qualified individuals looking for full-time employment as Business Developer/Bid Coordinator to increase company sales by seeking out and acquiring new business relationships.

• Minimum 5 years of construction estimating support, engineering, or similar experience.

• Increase company sales by utilizing industry and company knowledge to acquire new business relationships.
• Utilize industry programs and technology to download plans and specifications and utilize them as tools to generate new business
• Acquire and maintain healthy business relationships to increase bid opportunities in the regional market while also responsible for bid follow-up.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of computer software/technology including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, required for bid coordination. Knowledge of Bidmail is a plus, but not required
• Review drawings, specifications, and proposed project site conditions; record findings and combine material cost and labor for estimator
• Ensure technical and material cost accuracy while delivering on-time and on or under budget bids to estimators that meet their client specifications outlined in contracts.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes to assist in preparing submittals.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Knowledge of construction grading and paving practices including production rates, contractual documents, plans, specifications, etc.
• Knowledge of estimating, construction and material costs, scheduling, various methods and installation procedures of asphalt and paving.
• Ability to work within and comply with proposal/bidding time constraints/deadlines, individually and in a team environment
• Possess strong networking and business development skills
• Previous experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Thrives in a fast-paced and competitive work environment
• Attention to detail while productively meeting goals
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to estimate multiple projects at a given time while communicating effectively.

Heavy Equipment Operator/Drivers 

Currently seeking qualified individuals looking for full-time employment as Heavy Equipment Operators and Commercial Trucks to assist in moving, grading, and excavating earth, and installing rock and asphalt and other hard surface pavement.

• California Class A Commercial Driver's License
• 5 years of heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Operate many different types of heavy equipment: including front-end loaders, motor graders, excavators, pavers, rollers, backhoes, scrapers and skiploaders.
• Operates commercial trucks: includes running, maneuvering, navigating, and driving vehicles or mechanical equipment; forklifts as well as passenger vehicles
• Build level and excavate land surfaces using graders and other construction equipment.
• Gather and load dirt and waste products from job sites onto trucks. Transport to appropriate location.
• Operate water truck and similar equipment for dust control and dirt compaction.
• Repair and maintain heavy equipment, trucks, structures and materials.
• Perform physical work requiring the use of arms and legs; such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stopping, and materials handling.
• Use hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.

Field Laborers 

Currently seeking qualified individuals looking for full-time employment as Field Laborer involving physical labor at construction sites.

• Must be able to perform strenuous manual labor in asphalt and concrete construction projects.
• Must be able to operate hand and power tools of all types.
• Must be able to prepare concrete and asphalt construction-type work.
• Must be able to properly clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials from construction sites.
• Must work well with others.
• Must have personal transportation to each different jobsite location.

• Perform manual work in preparing surfaces for paving.
• Shovel concrete/asphalt into construction areas.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix.
• Excavate and fill trenches and ditches.
• Maintain a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
• Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
• Notify jobsite foreman, project manager or safety officer when problems arise or potential problems exist.
