ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER    

 

Currently seeking qualified individuals looking for full-time employment for an Estimator/Project Manager position.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in site construction industry both in public and private works. (Knowledge of asphalt/paving/grading/concrete is a plus but not required.)
•  Knowledge of estimating, construction and material costs, scheduling, various methods and installation procedures in site construction.
• Ability to work within and comply with proposal/bidding time constraints/deadlines, individually and in a team environment.
• Possess strong networking and business development skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Thrives in a fast-paced and competitive work environment.
• Attention to detail while productively meeting goals.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to estimate multiple projects at a given time while communicating effectively.

Job Responsibilities:
• Utilize industry programs and technology to download plans and specifications and utilize them as tools to generate new business and work up estimates.

• Acquire and maintain healthy business relationships to increase bid opportunities in the regional market while also responsible for bid follow-up.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of computer software/technology including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. (Knowledge of Bidmail and Dodge is a plus.)
• Review drawings, specifications, and proposed project site conditions; record finding and combine material cost and labor to completed take offs and make recommendations.
• Regularly review project progress against its estimated budget and schedule and make any necessary adjustments to ensure project completion on schedule, within the budget, and at the required level of quality.
• Submit contract documents to admin for review and complete work plans and other required submittals for awarded projects, as required.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes to assist in formulating estimates and sending out bid proposals.
• Ensure technical, material, and labor cost accuracy while delivering on-time and on or under budget bids to customers that meet their specifications outlined in contracts.
• Visit project sites, evaluate site conditions, and make recommendations.

ASSISTANT OFFICE MANAGER    

 

Currently seeking qualified individuals looking for full-time employment for an Assistant Office Manager position.

Requirements:

  • • Minimum of 3+ years working experience in a construction office environment required.


• Must have at least an Associate Degree 

• Ability to adapt, prioritize, and problem solve while on a deadline.

• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. 

• Fluent in English. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.

• Have a strong work ethic.

• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to estimate multiple projects at a given time while communicating effectively.

• Ability to process and learn new information quickly 

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Publisher. 

• Notary is a plus but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate and coordinate company’s fleet maintenance schedule for equipment and vehicles needing service maintenance.

• Collaborate with internal partners to execute marketing plans including advertising creative, promotional items, company branding at events, and the printing and mailing of marketing items to potential and previous customers.

• Work directly with the president to prepare agendas and schedules for meetings.

• Responsible for completing pre-qualification packets for new or returning jobs or customers 

• Complete new bid packets ensuring company’s ability to bid upcoming jobs crucial to the bid approval process

• Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.

• Maintains filing systems as assigned.

Research (or request) and file prelim notices

• Request releases from suppliers/vendors 

• Assist office manager in any accounts payable data entry, time keeping, and cross checking of invoices. Knowledge of Sage and/or Timberline is a plus.
