Adhesion

Adhesion is a bond between a sealant material and the crack or joint sidewall or the bond between asphalt cement and aggregate. Depending on the type of aggregate or asphalt combination used, there may or may not be adhesion or chemical bonding taking place. Keep in mind that the type of envionment in which adhesion takes place will accelerate or decelerate the rate of an adhesion's corrosion.
